About The Position

The Data Solutions Specialist designs, develops, and maintains surveys, webforms, automated workflows, reporting solutions, and data analytics that support business processes and data-informed decision-making with the System Offices. Working directly with stakeholders, the incumbent provides consultation and customer service to identify business needs and develop effective data solutions. The position collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including web developers, instructional designers, graphic designers, and business stakeholders, to deliver integrated, user-centered solutions that support strategic change management efforts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Any one or any combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the following categories: College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent: 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months) Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months) 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months) Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
• Work experience in IT-related functions, such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field.
• Knowledge of survey and webform design principles, including data collection, usability, and accessibility considerations.
• Knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and data management concepts.
• Knowledge of workflow automation concepts and AI-enabled technology solutions.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Experience in preparing reports, business correspondence, and other documents that provide complex, detailed information in a format that is clear and user friendly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and reporting functions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Teams, Power BI, and Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Consult with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business processes into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, configure, and maintain online surveys and webforms using specialized no-code platforms such as Alchemer, Qualtrics, Jotform, and FormBuilder.
• Implement complex skip logic, branching, and custom features to ensure smooth respondent navigation and data integrity.
• Test surveys and webforms thoroughly before launch to identify bugs, ensure cross-device compatibility, and validate that data collection meets specified requirements.
• Design and build automated workflows that trigger actions based on survey and form responses, such as sending emails and pushing data into external systems.
• Develop approval processes, notification systems, task assignments, escalation procedures, and data-routing mechanisms.
• Integrate forms and surveys with enterprise systems, databases, reporting platforms, and third-party applications.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to streamline operations, improve accuracy, and increase efficiency.
• Collect, transform, and analyze data from surveys, forms, service management tools, LMS platforms, ERP systems, and other enterprise applications.
• Develop complex reports, dashboards, visualizations, and performance metrics.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support business decisions.
• Assist with the development of training registration systems and learner workflows to ensure consistent user experiences and effective transmission of data.
• Assist with configuration of reporting and data analytics tools for training systems and websites.
• Assist with the implementation of forms and automation tools in websites and webpages.
• Perform other duties as appropriate for a Data Solutions specialist.
