About The Position

HealtheConnections is seeking a Data Solutions Analyst to join their team. This role focuses on ensuring the availability of complete, accurate, and reliable data through their health information exchange (HIE) services. The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare, health information technology (HIT), or clinical data quality. This is a hands-on position where you will investigate data issues, understand information flow within healthcare systems, and develop practical solutions to improve data quality. You will work directly with clinical data, review information flows, identify patterns, troubleshoot discrepancies, and translate findings into actionable steps. Collaboration with customers, EMR and HIT vendors, and internal teams is key to reviewing data feeds, investigating issues, communicating corrections, and supporting solutions that enhance data completeness, accuracy, and reliability. The company is looking for a curious, persistent individual who is comfortable with complex data, enjoys problem-solving, connecting details across systems, and creating workable solutions within a diverse team. Strong self-management skills, an appreciation for standards and structure, and enthusiasm for a performance-oriented culture aligned with a mission to make a difference in the community are also important.

Requirements

  • Experience working within the healthcare or HIT industry required.
  • 2-year degree or higher in HIT, Healthcare, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent experience and certifications will also be considered.
  • Experience working with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, CCD/CCD-A, and terminology standards is required.
  • Experience working with SQL, database concepts, and data analysis tools like Big Query and Tableau is required.
  • Ability to work independently and balance competing priorities and complex situations.
  • Excellent analytical skills; critical thinking.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years’ professional experience working with clinical data preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and troubleshoot issues found in healthcare data, including HL7 messages and FHIR Resources.
  • Identify data quality improvement opportunities based on analysis, trends, and programmatic requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to implement solutions that bolster data quality, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Support data hygiene practices that ensure information remains accurate, consistent, and secure across organizational systems and databases.
