About The Position

As a Senior Data Architect, you will be responsible for architecting, leading, and delivering complex data modernization projects. This includes leading on-prem to Azure migrations, modernizing legacy warehouses into lakehouse and delta lake architectures, and designing data integration frameworks across various systems like D365 F&O, CE, Salesforce, SAP, Workday, and 3rd-party APIs. You will build and optimize advanced pipelines, drive performance tuning, implement Delta Lake capabilities, and apply governance, observability, and security frameworks. Additionally, you will lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, partner with cross-functional teams, contribute to client roadmaps, and ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, ETL, data warehousing, and cloud transformation
• Expertise with Azure Synapse, Databricks, Spark, ADF, ADLS, Python, SQL/T-SQL, and Azure Functions
• Experience optimizing cloud cost, performance, and scale across modern data platforms
• Deep understanding of Data Mesh, Delta Lake, Azure Purview, and data observability/governance frameworks
• Proven experience building real-time ingestion and processing frameworks and scalable data platforms
• Strong understanding of Common Data Model (CDM), Dataverse, Power BI Dataflows, and data integrations with D365 and enterprise platforms
• Familiarity with Azure Key Vault, Logic Apps, runbooks, DevOps pipelines, and PowerShell scripting
• Hands-on experience with ARM templates, Git, and CI/CD automation in enterprise environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead client-facing architecture discussions and technical delivery

Responsibilities

• Architect, lead, and deliver complex data modernization projects leveraging Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and related Azure services
• Lead on-prem to Azure migrations, including hybrid strategies and modernization of legacy warehouses into lakehouse and delta lake architectures
• Design and implement data integration frameworks across D365 F&O, CE, Salesforce, SAP, Workday, and 3rd-party APIs using Data API Gateways and Azure-native tools
• Build and optimize advanced pipelines in Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory (ADF) for full and incremental loads, both from cloud and on-prem sources
• Drive performance tuning in Databricks and Synapse environments and establish best practices for scalable and cost-efficient data architectures
• Implement Delta Lake capabilities (SCDs, schema evolution, CDC) to support enterprise-grade analytical use cases
• Apply governance, observability, and security frameworks using Azure Purview, Key Vault, and modern Data Mesh principles
• Lead the design and implementation of reusable, automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ARM templates, PowerShell, and GitHub
• Partner with cross-functional Microsoft service line teams (Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure Infra, Modern Work) to ensure holistic solution delivery
• Contribute to client roadmaps, strategy sessions, and proposals as a data SME and trusted advisor
• Lead in steering committee meetings and facilitate communication with all parties involved
• Ensure customer satisfaction
