Data Services Programmer
About The Position
Freedom is a large, privately held direct mail service provider seeking an experienced Data Services Programmer for their Data Services team. This department provides data-driven strategies and workflow solutions to maximize clients' marketing dollars. The role involves processing customer data to meet USPS mailing regulations using services such as address integrity (CASS, NCOA, DSF), merge-purge, segmentation, drop shipping, commingling, and finishing applications. Familiarity with industry practices and data processing solutions like Pitney Bowes Mailstream Plus, BCC Architect, and RedPoint Data Management is expected.
Requirements
- Self-motivated with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to multi-task, analyze, troubleshoot, and problem-solve complex list processing scenarios in a fast-paced production environment.
- Proficient in using Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Skilled in manipulating fixed and variable data formats to perform data processing services.
- Solid interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work in a changing environment.
Nice To Haves
- Three to five years of proven experience in data processing.
- Experience using tools such as Redpoint and/or BCC.
Responsibilities
- Process customer data to meet USPS mailing regulations through solutions/services such as address integrity (CASS, NCOA, DSF), merge-purge, segmentation, drop shipping, commingling and finishing applications.
- Consult with client, service team and supervisor to evaluate individual project needs.
- Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes within the industry.
- Analyze customer data and instructions to determine the most efficient processing workflow to meet the customer’s needs and Freedom Graphic Systems’ quality expectations.
- Prepare data, documentation to transfer to the next service team.
- Review the quality of processes at all stages and review with the appropriate internal service teams or client.
