Sr Data Scientist
About The Position
This role is for a Data Scientist within Technical Services in the PD PFS/Devices Blister/Bottles Pkg area. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree with four years of experience as a Scientist in the pharmaceutical or regulated industry. The role involves leading and developing data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence capabilities, managing projects, and working independently. Key responsibilities include identifying business needs, proposing analytical approaches, building algorithms and predictive models using Python, working with SQL, collaborating cross-functionally, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with four (4) years of experience as a Scientist within the pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish).
- Project Management skills.
- Experience in Automated inspection systems development and implementation.
- Experience in Analysis, defect detection, classification, or process optimization.
- Experience in Generating technical documentation, protocols, reports, and development records.
- Experience with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, or similar AI/ML frameworks.
- Quality and compliance-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with SQL and other DB query languages.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Leading, using and developing data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence capabilities across commercial organization.
- Leading the projects and be part of cross functional teams on projects and/or programs with aims to systematically derive insights.
- Taking the initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Identifying business needs, doing SWOT analysis, proposing potential analytical approaches for solutions, obtain approvals and the execute.
- Building high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models and proof of concepts using Python.
- Working with SQL and other DB query languages.
- Leading, collaborating and communicating cross-functionally with stakeholders to develop appropriate methodology to answer specific business questions.
- Presenting analysis ideas, progress and results to business partners in clear and impactful manner.
- Creating powerful stories in PowerPoint. Well versed in MS Office suite specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Assuring compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy requirements as it relates to data assets.
