About The Position

The Data Scientist will lead advanced analytics initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional business partners including Commercial Insights, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Teams, and external vendors to develop analytical models and business insights across Operations. The Data Scientist will play a key role in developing innovative solutions that create measurable business impact through advanced analytics, AI/ML technologies, and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

Strong programming skills in: Python R SAS Scala
Experience with machine learning and AI frameworks including: TensorFlow PyTorch Keras Scikit-learn Spark MLlib OpenCV
Experience with: SQL Relational databases Graph databases Spark Hive Distributed computing tools
Ability to write reusable, scalable, and well-abstracted code.
Comfortable working within Linux environments.
Doctorate degree; OR Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience in data science, business analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, engineering, computer science, data mining, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of related experience; OR Associate degree with 8+ years of related experience; OR High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of related experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience developing and implementing automated inspection systems.
Hands-on experience building AI/ML models for: Image analysis Defect detection Classification systems Process optimization
Experience with Computer Vision technologies and industrial camera systems.
Knowledge of: Machine Learning Deep Learning Generative AI Large Language Models (LLMs)
Experience deploying AI solutions into manufacturing or operational environments.
Experience in regulated industries such as: Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Medical Devices Manufacturing
Experience generating technical documentation, validation protocols, reports, and development records.
Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP), quality systems, and compliance requirements.
Experience with statistical analysis software such as: Minitab JMP

Responsibilities

Lead advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence projects from concept through implementation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop analytical solutions that drive operational and commercial value.
Perform SWOT analyses, define analytical approaches, obtain stakeholder alignment, and execute projects end-to-end.
Develop predictive models, algorithms, proof-of-concepts, and AI/ML solutions using Python and related technologies.
Build and optimize high-performance analytical models for image analysis, defect detection, classification, process optimization, and operational analytics.
Work with relational databases, SQL, graph databases, and distributed computing environments.
Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
Develop data visualizations, presentations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Create impactful PowerPoint presentations and business storytelling materials for leadership and cross-functional teams.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, privacy, and quality requirements associated with data assets and analytics solutions.
Support deployment and integration of AI/ML solutions into manufacturing and operational environments.
Partner with stakeholders, vendors, service owners, and Information Systems teams to support implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and advanced analytics.
