As a Staff Data Scientist, your primary responsibilities will include leading, developing, enhancing, & maintaining transportation forecasts while driving accuracy & granularity improvements. You will partner cross-functionally with other data and business teams to provide integrated forecasting solutions. These Forecast will support Financial and Operational planning various aspects of the supply chain. You’ll communicate business-critical outcomes effectively with leaders and multiple business partners. This role is based in Bentonville, AR.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in Data Science, machine learning and optimization models
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Product and Business teams to identify, design, develop, and enhance Transportation forecasting solutions
  • Proficiency in Machine Learning, Forecasting, and AI; Proficient in programming languages (Python or R), and experience working with popular data science packages such as scikit-learn, pandas, PyTorch, Keras, etc.
  • Experience working with large scale forecasting projects using techniques such as time series modeling, ML based forecasting, Prophet, Deep AR, LSTMs, Tree based methodologies etc.,
  • You’re a storyteller - a master at making complex subjects easily understood through compelling stories and visuals.
  • Experience in end-to-end model development and deployment lifecycle i.e., from prototyping to model development, ML Ops and putting models into production.
  • Have strong understanding of probability and statistical models.
  • Demonstrated experience in data wrangling and manipulations using SQL and relational databases (for example Hive, Big Query).
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.

  • Champion lead for the efforts on forecasting, developing time series forecasting models to provide visibility of future available workload that highlights risks easily.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Operations, and other key stakeholders. Build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels to drive influence.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and inspire a high-performance team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development to a team of data scientists.
