About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist to join our Digital & Analytics team. This role directly supports a manufacturing facility, working together with operations and support teams to identify business challenges, translating them into data-driven solutions, and delivering actionable insights through analytics and reporting. You will play a key role in gathering requirements, identifying relevant datasets, building scalable data logic, and delivering intuitive reporting solutions that enable better decision-making across operations.

Requirements

Business Statistics: Knowledge of the statistical tools, processes, and practices to describe business results in measurable scales; ability to use statistical tools and processes to assist in making business decisions.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Programming Languages: Knowledge of basic concepts and capabilities of programming; ability to use tools, techniques and platforms in order to write and modify programming languages.
Query and Database Access Tools: Knowledge of data management systems; ability to use, support and access facilities for searching, extracting and formatting data for further use.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Strong analytical mindset with a passion for investigating data and solving problems
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with diverse customer groups
Comfortable translating ambiguous business needs into structured analytical solutions
Collaborative team player who works well with peers and stakeholders
Experience working with SQL to build queries, data models, and business logic for analytics
Background in business analytics, including translating operational problems into data-driven solutions
Proven ability to work with stakeholders to understand challenges and convert them into reporting and analytical outputs
Experience developing reports and dashboards (Power BI or similar tools)

Exposure to Python and web frameworks such as Django (training provided)

Responsibilities

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business problems, define scope, and translate requirements into analytical solutions
Identify, source, and validate data needed to solve operational and business challenges
Develop SQL-based data models and logic to support analytics and reporting use cases
Design and deliver reporting solutions (primarily in Power BI) tailored to end-user needs
Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with peers to ensure data quality, consistency, and best practices
Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics capabilities across the team
