About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist to join our Digital & Analytics team. This role directly supports a manufacturing facility, working together with operations and support teams to identify business challenges, translating them into data-driven solutions, and delivering actionable insights through analytics and reporting. You will play a key role in gathering requirements, identifying relevant datasets, building scalable data logic, and delivering intuitive reporting solutions that enable better decision-making across operations.

Requirements

  • Business Statistics: Knowledge of the statistical tools, processes, and practices to describe business results in measurable scales; ability to use statistical tools and processes to assist in making business decisions.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Programming Languages: Knowledge of basic concepts and capabilities of programming; ability to use tools, techniques and platforms in order to write and modify programming languages.
  • Query and Database Access Tools: Knowledge of data management systems; ability to use, support and access facilities for searching, extracting and formatting data for further use.
  • Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for investigating data and solving problems
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with diverse customer groups
  • Comfortable translating ambiguous business needs into structured analytical solutions
  • Collaborative team player who works well with peers and stakeholders
  • Experience working with SQL to build queries, data models, and business logic for analytics
  • Background in business analytics, including translating operational problems into data-driven solutions
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders to understand challenges and convert them into reporting and analytical outputs
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards (Power BI or similar tools)

  • Exposure to Python and web frameworks such as Django (training provided)
  • ETL and Orchestration Tools (Python and Dagster)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business problems, define scope, and translate requirements into analytical solutions
  • Identify, source, and validate data needed to solve operational and business challenges
  • Develop SQL-based data models and logic to support analytics and reporting use cases
  • Design and deliver reporting solutions (primarily in Power BI) tailored to end-user needs
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure data quality, consistency, and best practices
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics capabilities across the team
