About The Position

Command Cyber Solutions is seeking a highly skilled, mission-driven Data Scientist to support an Air Force program in a secure data center environment at Hill AFB, Utah. The position requires an active Secret clearance and is on-site. The successful candidate will develop AI/ML models, build and maintain a scalable data lake using Cloudera, create Tableau dashboards, and support cybersecurity initiatives through analytics, automation, and compliance. The role involves collaboration with cybersecurity teams and stakeholders to deliver secure, high-impact solutions in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, and at least three years of experience developing and deploying AI/ML models. Candidates should have hands-on experience with Cloudera, Tableau, and Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting, as well as experience implementing cybersecurity use cases in data environments. Compensation is $165,000–$180,000, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Active Secret clearance.
At least 3 years of experience in AI/ML model development and deployment.
Hands-on experience with Cloudera, Tableau, and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience identifying and implementing cybersecurity use cases within data environments.
Familiarity with STIGs, NIST frameworks, and federal cybersecurity compliance requirements.
Strong understanding of data lake architecture, ETL pipelines, and big data frameworks.
Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or similar big data technologies.
Experience with a cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, OCI, or Google Cloud.
Ability to perform statistical analysis and machine learning to develop predictive insights using data lakes.
Knowledge of data governance and security, optimization, performance tuning, query performance, and storage efficiency.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently under program direction.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting government or defense-related programs.
Experience with Jupyter, Apache NiFi, or Airflow for workflow automation.
Knowledge of SIEM platforms and security data integration.
Familiarity with Docker, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Design, train, and deploy AI/ML models to support program objectives.
Build and maintain a secure, scalable data lake architecture using Cloudera.
Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau.
Identify and implement cybersecurity analytics use cases, including anomaly detection, threat modeling, and behavioral analysis.
Create and maintain automation scripts for data ingestion, transformation, and system monitoring.
Ensure compliance with DoD STIGs and other federal cybersecurity standards.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate data science outputs into security operations workflows.
Document workflows, pipelines, and model performance to support transparency and reproducibility.
Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders and leadership.
