About The Position

Peraton is seeking to hire an experienced Data Scientist for its' Joint Distribution Process Analysis Center (JDPAC) program with the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). This role is critical to advancing data-driven decision-making for USTRANSCOM by developing and refining analytical tools that enhance operational efficiency across global transportation networks. This role is located at Scott AFB, IL, with flexibility for occasional telework, but requires the candidate to be local to the work location.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years with BS/BA degree; or an MS/MA degree; 6 years of relevant experience without a degree.
Experience with development and implementation of enterprise-level data science solutions.
Knowledge of various machine learning methods including classification, regression, time-series forecasting, neural networks, deep learning, and artificial intelligence.
Strong Python skills.
Demonstrated creative thinker with a mission-minded focus.
Must have a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Ability to persist in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Active DoD Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Palantir Foundry.
Familiarity with USTRANSCOM processes and systems.
