Requirements

Proficient in Python or R and SQL.
Brings 5+ years of experience in data science, actuarial science, or a related domain.

Nice To Haves

Possesses insurance or financial services knowledge, ideally in risk, pricing, claims, or underwriting environments.
Demonstrates proven end‑to‑end delivery from problem framing to deployment.
Has exposure to GenAI, NLP, or modern machine learning frameworks (asset).

Responsibilities

Deliver end-to-end analytical solutions, contributing to the full project lifecycle from problem framing with business partners to model deployment and adoption.
Explore, prepare, and validate data rigorously, including feature engineering, model testing, and post‑deployment monitoring.
Apply rigorous, explainable methods appropriate to a regulated industry environment.
Work directly with business partners to proactively surface opportunities where data science can create measurable business value.
Coach junior team members and contribute to raising the technical level of the team.
Stay current on AI and data science trends through self‑directed learning.
Collaborate with data engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure proper integration and maintenance of solutions.
