About The Position

We are building the intelligence layer that measures, monitors, and optimizes every aspect of our healthcare operations. You'll translate complex healthcare operations into actionable insights, design metrics and dashboards that guide strategic decisions, and empower teams across the organization to make data-driven decisions at scale. A successful Data Scientist at Fira is analytical, business impact-minded, and comfortable translating ambiguous questions into clear actionable insights. You'll have significant ownership over how we measure success, identify opportunities, and track performance across our company’s clinical and back-office operations. Over time, you'll define the analytical frameworks that shape how we operate, setting the standard for how we use data to drive business outcomes. Our target is to build systems that drive the marginal cost to zero of having data-driven decisions across the company.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a data science, analytics, or business intelligence role, with a proven track record of building dashboards and metrics that informed strategic decisions
  • Hands-on experience with modern BI tools (Hex, Sigma, Tableau, Looker, or similar) to build interactive dashboards and self-serve analytics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — able to structure ambiguous problems, perform exploratory analysis, and generate clear, actionable recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business insights for executives, operators, and cross-functional stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Python for statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis
  • Familiarity with healthcare operations, metrics, or data — clinical, financial, or operational
  • Familiarity with the downstream engineering stack: ETLs, orchestrators, infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders across product, engineering, growth, and clinical operations teams to define metrics frameworks and KPIs that track operational health, quality, and financial performance
  • Build the company-wide data observability platform to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and high-leverage opportunities for process improvement, product roadmap, and growth initiatives
  • Design and build interactive dashboards, reports, and self-serve analytics tools that surface key business metrics for operations, finance, and executive leadership
