About The Position
The Data Scientist-Junior will support the USSOCOM Intelligence Data Science Team program directly supporting the SOCAF mission at Kelley Barracks located in Stuttgart, Germany. The role involves contributing to project milestones, developing data-driven solutions for business challenges, and utilizing advanced tools for data interpretation and discovery. The position may involve predictive modeling to enhance customer experiences and efficiencies, identifying opportunities to leverage company data for business solutions, and developing machine learning tools for monitoring model performance and data accuracy.
Requirements
- Current DoW TS/SCI Clearance required.
- 3+ years of related experience, including academic or internship-based data science work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash, including API development and data manipulation.
- Familiarity with SQL and large-scale systems such as PostgreSQL, Hive, or Trino.
- Basic understanding of ML concepts and familiarity with Flask or FastAPI.
- US Citizenship Required
Nice To Haves
- Cloud or ML-related certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
- Develops data-driven solutions to business challenges of moderate scope/complexity.
- Utilize advanced tools and computational skills to interpret, connect, predict, and make discoveries in data.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and gathering techniques.
- May use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, efficiencies, process improvements, and other business outcomes.
- May assist with identifying opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- May develop processes and machine learning based tools to monitor and analyze model and performance and data accuracy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
