Requirements

  • Must have an active Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience working with object-oriented programming languages and other coding environments (e.g., Python, Java, C++, C#, R, MATLAB, and Simulink).
  • Two (2) years of experience designing, executing, and delivering data analyses leveraging at least one (1) of the following areas: Statistics (statistical modeling, experimental design, sampling, clustering, data reduction, confidence intervals, testing, modeling, and predictive modeling), Mathematics (big data and performing inventory management, forecasting, optimization, and supply chain analysis), Visualization (providing visualization of data and analytic results using programs such as Tableau, ArcGIS, and R), or Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (utilizing AI and ML techniques for developing and running algorithms and dealing with computational complexity).
  • Adeptness in interfacing with clients.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Structured Query Language (SQL).

Responsibilities

  • Support the CAPE Joint Data Support (JDS) Division, which is responsible for identifying, collecting, developing, analyzing, managing, and disseminating U.S. and Non-U.S. forces inventory, capabilities, and deployment data to support collaborative study teams.
  • Develop standardized data products and analytic tools to support Joint analytic efforts focused on Senior Leader decision support.
  • Support AWG led SCI/SAP/SAR studies and analyses.
  • Analyze and evaluate user business problems and develop system recommendations to meet requirements.
  • Analyze current and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified methods, techniques or systems.
  • Coordinate with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, execution of user acceptance, and may coordinate testing and system controls.
  • Address technical issues/problems using best practice and through collaboration with colleagues.
  • Develop solutions to technical problems that require depth of technical knowledge, but are typically limited in complexity.
  • Communicate with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, other technical resources, etc.).
  • Explain technical solutions, practices and procedures to others within the organization.
