About The Position

This position is for a September 2026 start within the FIS University Program. As a full-time employee, you will participate in team projects, community service, professional development seminars, and work with a team invested in your growth. The two-year program includes a dedicated "Learning Week" to learn about the corporate environment, Fintech, and FIS's role, with opportunities for leadership interaction and peer networking. The role supports the development and validation of data-driven models by analyzing large datasets, identifying insights, and ensuring data quality. You will work with Data Science, Product, and client-facing teams to apply analytics to business problems, contribute to product enhancements, and communicate findings. You will learn and apply best practices in modeling, data governance, and regulatory-compliant analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related).
• Basic knowledge of data analysis, statistics, or machine learning concepts.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python or R) and SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences (with guidance).
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and business concepts.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Internship or academic project experience involving data analysis or modeling.
• Exposure to tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with SAS or working with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and explore datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business and product needs.
• Assist in building, testing, and improving predictive models and analytical solutions.
• Work with senior team members to translate business questions into data-driven approaches.
• Create visualizations and summaries to communicate findings in a clear and understandable way.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, and analytics) on projects.
• Support data preparation, quality checks, and validation processes to ensure reliable results.
• Learn and apply statistical, machine learning, and data analysis techniques to real business problems.
