About The Position

The Lineage Data Science team is seeking individuals to enhance Lineage’s computer vision technologies. The successful candidate will join a small, dedicated team responsible for the end-to-end management of our computer vision systems, from initial data capture by cameras to the integration of results with downstream decision-making processes. This role involves training and maintaining computer vision models, developing software for model deployment, and ensuring the seamless operation of the integrated system in a production environment. The work will be conducted on both on-premise servers and in the cloud, supporting our 24/7 automated facilities and contributing to the processing of millions of pounds of food weekly for global distribution to grocery stores and restaurants.

Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated strong programming ability in Python with experience writing software that performs in production and at scale.
Strong skills in computer vision and machine learning.
Experience managing the machine learning lifecycle, from labeling to model training, deployment, monitoring, scaling, and iteration.
The ability to identify and solve problems independently.
Strong critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

An advanced degree in a technical field.
Experience with Linux command line tools and Bash.
Experience with C++.
Experience managing software systems in production.
Non-technical work or extracurricular experience as it suggests you can communicate with a non-technical audience, such as on-site warehouse personnel.
