Data Scientist

As a member of the core data science team at Evolve, you will be responsible for building machine learning products that aim to transform how the vacation rental industry operates. Your role will involve building, deploying, and monitoring machine learning models and algorithms, as well as developing software for reliable deployment and monitoring of new models. You will also be responsible for maintaining model explainability, monitoring performance, and identifying opportunities for improvement. • Build, deploy, and monitor machine learning models and algorithms with a sustained business impact
• Develop software for reliable deployment and monitoring of new models
• Maintain model explainability and present new models in a way that builds trust and understanding
• Monitor model performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Build predictive datasets using data cleaning and feature engineering techniques
• Continuously learn new data science techniques, tooling, and coding best practices
• Research new methodologies, concepts, and industry trends to guide the creation and adoption of new analytical approaches and technologies
• Communicate complex, technical information to non-technical audiences
• Have 5+ years of experience in data analytics and 2+ years of data science work
• Possess a related technical bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree (preferred)
• Have programming experience with Python and SQL, ideally in a full-stack machine learning setting
• Understand software development to create high-quality, well-documented, and well-tested code
• Recognize how and when to iterate on deployed models
• Consistently identify and prioritize high-value opportunities
• Work effectively in a collaborative environment and communicate with stakeholders.

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics and 2+ years of data science work
• Related technical bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree preferred
• Programming experience with Python and SQL, ideally in a full-stack machine learning setting
• Software development understanding to be able to create high quality, well-documented, and well-tested code
• Clear recognition of how and when to iterate on deployed models
• Track record of consistently identifying and prioritizing high value opportunities
• Experience working in a collaborative environment and communicating effectively with a variety of stakeholders
