About The Position

Amida Technology Solutions is a DC-based technology company focused on data interoperability, integrity, governance, and security. Amida is seeking highly motivated candidates who are interested in a mentor-guided Intern opportunity to apply what they have learned in the classroom to the real world. This is a 40-hour per week position initially slated to last three months, with a goal of moving to regular, full-time employment. Candidates must be able to work three days per week in our Washington, DC headquarters office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or engineering, preferably with a strong focus on graph theory, algorithms, and data structures
  • Demonstrated passion for data science and eagerness to learn new techniques and technologies

  • Familiarity with graph libraries and frameworks and machine learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch Geometric, DGL, GDS)
  • Libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib
  • Azure Databricks
  • Graph algorithms/techniques
  • Software testing concepts/methodologies
  • Software development
  • Cypher or Gremlin query language

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize graph algorithms and data structures for applications in decision support, classification
  • Supervise, help create, and implement algorithms for encoding and embedding, clustering, outlier detection, community detection, and dimensionality reduction
  • Build distributed training pipelines that can handle large graphs (100 M+ graph elements)
  • Design and write queries, stored procedures for data loading, migration from existing databases, and retrieval
  • Contribute to white papers and technical documentation
