About The Position

As an NBCUniversal Academic Year intern, you’ll work on real projects, be part of our collaborative culture, and get the support you need to grow - across two full semesters. The Decision Sciences Content Analytics team acts as the main source of data and insights on all things NBC Sports, both on Linear TV and Peacock, providing program performance tracking, audience demographics, forecasting, business and brand strategy, portfolio optimization, and all forms of research-based guidance.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027)
  • December 2026 graduates are not eligible for this Academic Year Internship Program
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027
  • Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
  • Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of TV Ratings, Nielsen, or data visualization tools like Tableau preferred
  • Ability to digest large data sets - especially with ratings and viewership data
  • Ability to multitask and be highly organized
  • Excellent communication, proofreading skills, and attention to detail
  • Passion for TV, Streaming, Sports, and Pop culture

Responsibilities

  • Report performance data for all sports properties to key stakeholders
  • Utilize multiple data management and analytics tools in day-to-day work
  • Receive in-depth training on Research Operations, including inputting titles and times into NCL to generate accurate ratings data
  • Participate in TV ratings and audience research, including involvement in various cross-platform projects
  • Take ownership over various weekly and daily reporting
