About The Position

As an NBCUniversal Academic Year intern, you’ll work on real projects, be part of our collaborative culture, and get the support you need to grow - across two full semesters. Our Internship Program is all about impact, giving you the chance to contribute to meaningful work while building skills that matter. If you’re curious, driven, and excited about media, entertainment, and technology, we provide an environment designed to help you learn and grow every day. The Academic Year Internship Program runs from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027, requiring a time commitment of 16-24 hours per week. The exact schedule will be determined based on business need, with efforts to accommodate course schedules. Opportunities will require interns to work from Universal City, CA.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027).
  • December 2026 graduates are not eligible for this Academic Year Internship Program.
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027.
  • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.
  • Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.
  • NBCUniversal is an E-Verify company, requiring all employees to have an active Social Security number.
  • Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Experience with SQL or similar programming languages (R, Python, etc.) and proficiency with Excel.
  • Experience with BI visualization tools, a plus (Tableau, Domo, Looker, etc.).
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
  • Prior experience with Machine Learning and/or statistical modelling.
  • Working knowledge of statistics and its applications for inferential data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Spark, Databricks and/or AWS.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, including building dashboards, creating DAX measures, and designing intuitive visual layouts.
  • Understanding of data sources and basic data modeling to support accurate and insightful reporting.
  • Good understanding of financial data.
  • Understanding of SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support high-profile projects that make a tangible impact (Peacock Strategic Analytics).
  • Utilize large-scale data sets to creatively solve real-life business problems (Peacock Strategic Analytics).
  • Help drive data-driven strategies across the Peacock organization (Peacock Strategic Analytics).
  • Assist with research and development of new methodologies, including Generative AI solutions (Content Science).
  • Build predictive and inferential statistical or machine learning models (Content Science).
  • Contribute to the development of data pipelines and internal tools (Content Science).
  • Create interactive visualizations that communicate complex insights clearly and effectively (Content Science).
  • Manage, build, and support all Operations users in the different systems they use (Global Inventory Planning).
  • Process enhancements that may require technology, such as building visualizations within Power BI of each of the departments' performance matrices (Global Inventory Planning).
  • Review, validate, and enhance metadata (Metadata Gov).
  • Help establish a clean, reliable foundation for TalentHub’s successful launch (Metadata Gov).
  • Build proof of concepts in the Planning and Analytics space (Corp Tech – Data & Analytics).
  • Develop AI-driven solutions for planning and analytics use cases (Corp Tech – Data & Analytics).
  • Create data pipelines to support human capital management (Corp Tech – Data & Analytics).
