Operations & Technology (O&T) is a $1B operating cash flow division performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027).
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027.
  • Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
  • Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.
  • Must have an active Social Security number and complete I-9 form within 3 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Experience with a statistical analysis tool like R, SPSS and/or survey analysis software like Marketsight, Alchemer, or SurveyMonkey.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • SQL or other programming language knowledge.
  • Knowledge of TV Ratings, Nielsen, or data visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Affinity for numbers & ability to digest large data sets - especially with ratings and viewership data.
  • Product Management familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Supply insights in support of strategic objectives for Peacock, NBC, and Bravo, to stakeholders across the organization including the Content Strategy, Growth & Marketing teams (Decision Sciences, Consumer Insights).
  • Be exposed to a variety of quantitative and qualitative primary research methodologies and gain experience in analyzing the output to provide actionable insights for the business (Decision Sciences, Consumer Insights).
  • Act as the main source of data and insights on all things Entertainment, for NBC and Bravo on Linear TV and Peacock (Decision Sciences, Entertainment Content Analytics).
  • Provide program performance tracking, audience demographics, forecasting, business and brand strategy, portfolio optimization, and all forms of research-based guidance (Decision Sciences, Entertainment Content Analytics).
  • Work closely with many groups across the business including marketing, programming, production, finance, and ad sales (Decision Sciences, Entertainment Content Analytics).
  • Provide producers and executives with performance ratings on both linear and streaming for NBC Universal Syndication Studios shows (Decision Sciences, Entertainment Content Analytics).
  • Work closely with NBC-affiliated stations across the country providing insights on NBC programming in local markets (Decision Sciences, Entertainment Content Analytics).
  • Report performance data for all programs to key stakeholders and utilize multiple data management and analytics tools in day-to-day work (Decision Sciences, Entertainment Content Analytics).
  • Receive in-depth training on TV ratings and audience research, including involvement in various cross-platform projects, and ownership over various weekly and daily reporting (Decision Sciences, Entertainment Content Analytics).
  • Champion the intelligent use of data to inform strategic decision making (Decision Sciences, Product Experimentation - Advanced Analytics).
  • Focus on the intelligent use of data to perform analysis and provide actionable insights as part of the Peacock team (Decision Sciences, Product Experimentation - Advanced Analytics).
  • Work on retention insights, customer segmentation, and identifying churn trends, to help fuel healthy customer growth (Decision Sciences, Product Experimentation - Advanced Analytics).
  • Partner with business stakeholders throughout Peacock (Decision Sciences, Product Experimentation - Advanced Analytics).
  • Support Project Certus, an initiative to replace the Financial Sub-Ledger System and enhance downstream BI analytics and reporting (O&T, Media Ops Content Dist).
  • Focus on the BI Analytics workstream, partnering with business stakeholders to scope reporting needs, define product requirements, and collaborate with the Data and Analytics team on execution (O&T, Media Ops Content Dist).
