About The Position

This role will review Design documents, proactively identify requirement gaps and issues, map data between interface systems, assist lead analyst in project collaboration, documentation and coordination, review and contribute to the test plans, work with stakeholders to Build Test Scenarios, provide demonstrations to Internal teams and Project Stakeholders, work closely with Business, QAs, Dev team on project related pre and post go live issues, develop workflows, provide solutions, track issues end to end, ensure timely resolutions and accurate delegation of ownership.

Requirements

5+ years of experience with Medicaid or Medicare.
Prior experience working on federal or state legislative policy implementations (e.g., CMS rules, HR1 provisions, Medicaid expansion/unwinding efforts).
3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, or similar role with a heavy focus on data testing and SQL development.
Advanced SQL skills specifically within Teradata environments (including performance tuning, BTEQ, and Teradata SQL Assistant).
Demonstrated experience writing test plans, performing data validation, and identifying data anomalies or discrepancies.
Experience working closely with third-party vendors, IT infrastructure teams, or database administrators to manage system updates and resolve issues.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills, with a demonstrated ability to prepare and present reports on complex concepts and findings to all levels of the organization.
Strong quantitative analysis skills, including working knowledge of SAS, SQL, data mining software, statistical validation techniques, predictive modeling construction and data visualization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Excel, Power Point and Word.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, implement, and monitor large scale/time sensitive projects; and to work collaboratively across teams.
Must be well organized, with the ability to prioritize work and possess a great attention to detail and accuracy and an ability to complete multiple complex assignments within short time frames and with minimal direction.
Experience with Medicaid or Medicare or other health systems (5 Years)
Exp working with end users/customers to understand and develop requirements for technical solutions to meet business needs (5 Years)
Exp w/analyzing project requirements and developing detailed technical specifications (5 Years)
Exp with technical developers to strategize solutions to align with business requirements (5 Years)
Recent SQL writing experience (5 Years)
Exp w/facilitating customer requirements gathering meetings/sessions/JAD Sessions (5 Years)

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of state and federal Medicaid policy and regulatory reporting requirements.
Experience working with Medicaid eligibility and enrollment data, health plans’ operations and data (encounters, claims, clinical quality, etc.)

Responsibilities

Design, execute, and document comprehensive test cases and validation scripts to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across data pipelines, ETL processes, and reports.
Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries against our data warehouse (in Teradata) to pull scheduled and ad-hoc operational and analytical reports.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for our data warehouse vendor, escalating performance bottlenecks, troubleshooting data loading issues, and tracking resolutions.
Translate business requirements into intuitive, actionable data visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Maintain documentation of data definitions, reporting logic, testing procedures, and data warehouse schemas to ensure organization-wide transparency.
Review Design documents, proactively identify requirement gaps and issues.
