About The Position

This is a 12-month contract position for a Data Quality Engineer/Automation tester located in Lewisville, TX. The role requires onsite presence and mandatory automotive experience. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring data quality and implementing automation testing strategies within the software development and testing lifecycles.

Requirements

  • Mandatory automotive experience.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
  • Experience with STLC, test methodologies, and test strategies.
  • Proficient in manual and automation testing.
  • 3 to 5 years of Python experience.
  • Hands-on experience with test frameworks such as Robot Framework and Pytest Framework.
  • Experience in file handling (.csv, .json, .avro).
  • Proficient with Python libraries for data fetching, cleaning, and processing (Pandas, NumPy, Plotly).
  • Experience with database queries (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Experience in testing REST APIs using tools like Postman and Python.
  • Experience working on test benches involving TCUs.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN and J1939.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps / JIRA.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Proficient with Git version control.
  • Test Management skills.
  • Defect Management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and execute test strategies for data quality and automation.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and frameworks like Robot Framework and Pytest.
  • Perform manual testing as needed.
  • Handle and process various file formats including .csv, .json, and .avro.
  • Utilize Python libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Plotly) for data fetching, cleaning, and processing.
  • Execute database queries for both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Test REST APIs using tools like Postman and Python.
  • Work on test benches involving TCUs.
  • Test automotive communication protocols such as CAN and J1939.
  • Manage test cases and defects.
  • Collaborate with teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Utilize Git for version control.
