About The Position

Applications Testing and Automation Engineer required by DIT for a six-month engagement. This is a remote position. The manager will ship the laptop. If the candidate is performing well in the position the manager will extend this engagement for at least three months after the end date.

Requirements

• Experience in info systems app dev with a demonstrated concentration of experience in Software quality Assurance methods, techniques & tools
• 5 Years Hands-on experience with the MicroFocus ALM QC/Octane and Jira tools
• 5 Years Experience with Unified functional Testing (UFT) for functional test automation planning, test automation script building and results reporting
• 3 Years Ability to customize the automation code using VB Scripting and object oriented methodologies for any given application.
• 2 Years Experience with adding new users and projects into ALM QC and Octane
• 2 Years Experience with Build ALM dashboards, generate reports, help users build their own dashboards and troubleshoot if any issues
• 3 Years Troubleshoot automation script issues and modify if necessary
• 5 Years Experience working directly with project teams, customers to identify requirements for automation building
• 5 Years Strong team and customer oriented interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to function as a consultant to Executive branch agencies
• 4 Years Experience working in both Waterfall & Agile based environments is required
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in information systems application development with a demonstrated concentration of experience in Software Quality Assurance methods, techniques, and tools

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with UFT for Functional test automation, framework based scripting, ability to customize code and test estimation.
• Experience with ALM QC, Jira or Octane tools for test case writing, test data, test execution & results reporting.
• Extensive Scripting experience using VB Scripting and object oriented methodologies, ability to customize code as per the testing needs for various IT business applications.
• Experience with reports generation in ALM and help users build their own dashboards and troubleshoot their ALM tool utilization problems.
• Experience working in both Waterfall & Agile based environments is required and work as a consultant to Executive branch agencies and other customers, and get the work done by vendors as needed.
