About The Position

We’re looking for a Data QA Analyst to join Recentive’s core data science team. In this role, you’ll examine and evaluate analytical model outputs that power decision-making for some of the largest names in sports, entertainment, and broadcast. You’ll work closely with our data, product, and engineering teams to help evaluate the quality and accuracy of our analytical solutions in the context of end-to-end applications.

Requirements

• Strong ability to examine large datasets, identify inconsistencies, and ensure data integrity.
• Skilled in using spreadsheets for data analysis, comparison, and reporting.
• Familiarity with querying databases to extract and analyze data is a plus.
• Ability to catch subtle anomalies and discrepancies in data outputs that could impact decision-making.
• Comfortable researching and staying up to speed with real-world factors that may influence model performance.
• Ability to approach data challenges analytically and provide structured, logical evaluations.
• Strong writing skills to document findings, articulate data issues, and summarize key insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working closely with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to improve model accuracy and data quality.
• Ability to dig into available data, external sources, and market conditions to contextualize and validate analytical outputs.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with data scientists to assess and validate the outputs of analytical models, ensuring they align with business expectations and real-world dynamics.
• Conduct thorough reviews of data pipelines, transformations, and model inputs to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, or biases that could impact results.
• Stay informed about market trends, operational changes, and other external factors that could influence model performance and analytical insights.
• Analyze model outputs, flag discrepancies, and provide actionable feedback to improve the reliability and interpretability of data-driven decisions.
• Work cross-functionally with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to bridge the gap between technical outputs and real-world application.
• Develop and implement structured testing frameworks to verify data accuracy, completeness, and consistency throughout the analytics lifecycle.
