Fitch Group is seeking a Data Products & Onboarding Product Owner for its Technology & Data Team, based out of the New York office. The role reports to the Data Tools & Capabilities Product Leader, Fitch Data Marketplace. Fitch’s Chief Data Office leads enterprise data strategy, with the Data Marketplace enabling employees to find, understand, and use governed data across business workflows, analytics, and AI. The Data Tools & Capabilities product domain defines and evolves shared technology capabilities powering the Marketplace and the broader enterprise data ecosystem. The portfolio may include core Marketplace platform services, self-service capabilities, Express APIs, the Data Lab Platform, observability, operational tooling, and AI-enabling platform capabilities. The Product Owner executes the roadmap and lifecycle plan, translates business and technical needs into product priorities, manages backlogs across multiple engineering teams, and makes trade-offs to sustain delivery. They lead cross-functional delivery pods, balance business priorities with technical dependencies, operational risk, and engineering capacity, and drive delivery commitments while resolving blockers and ambiguity. They also oversee operational readiness and lifecycle management, monitor adoption and service health, and prioritize improvements to scalability, resilience, usability, and efficiency. The role collaborates with Data Products & Onboarding, Data User Experience & Intelligence, Product Operations, Data Governance, CISO, SRE, Emerging Technology, engineering, architecture, and business teams. These partnerships support onboarding and operationalization of data products, intuitive user experiences, release readiness and adoption, and compliance with enterprise data, technology, AI governance, and information security standards. Fitch describes its work environment as AI-enabled and seeks colleagues who are comfortable with AI or curious and eager to develop their AI literacy.
