About The Position

Arcadia is the AI-powered energy intelligence platform for businesses. We replace fragmented tools and manual workflows with one platform to pay utility bills, buy energy, and advance sustainability — across every location, at enterprise scale. Trusted by Fortune 2000 companies, Arcadia combines unified data, AI-powered analytics, and expert advisory to help enterprise teams save money, mitigate risk, and cut carbon. We deliver this through three comprehensive solutions: Utility Bill Management, Energy Procurement Advisory, and Sustainability Reporting. Tackling the world's most complex energy challenges requires diverse thinking. We're building teams of people from different backgrounds, industries, and disciplines — united by a belief that energy management should be simple, intelligent, and a genuine driver of business value.

Requirements

  • Equally comfortable in a data model diagram, a stakeholder alignment meeting, and a roadmap review.
  • Can turn many teams’ competing data needs into one coherent, extensible model that serves the needs of its data consumers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in energy, utilities, or fintech and expense-management software.
  • Familiarity with utility billing, tariff, or usage data structures.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks, master data management, or data cataloging tools.
  • Exposure to AI or ML-driven data extraction or classification pipelines.
  • Experience at a company going through platform consolidation or M&A-driven system integration.
  • Learned what extensible data architecture looks like in the wild.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive requirements for Arcadia’s unified data model, partnering with engineering to design an architecture that is extensible across current and future use cases.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to mature our data strategy and solidify Arcadia’s position as the data-driven thought leader in the utility space.
  • Partner with product and engineering leads across Expense Management, Energy Intelligence, Bill Acquisition, and other data product teams to gather requirements, identify shared entities, and resolve competing schema needs.
  • Translate ambiguous organizational needs into actionable engineering requirements throughout the entire data lifecycle, from new source ingestion through consumer BI, Data-as-a-Service, and product API use cases.
  • Define and prioritize the roadmap for unified data model capabilities, balancing near-term feature requests against long-term extensibility and governance while evaluating the business value of the desired features.
  • Define the product requirements that specs and data contracts that satisfy the business use cases, partnering with data engineering on authoring where needed.
  • Drive adoption of data governance standards (naming, ownership, quality, docs) with data engineering.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and platform engineering to ensure the model scales across acquisition, extraction, storage, and delivery layers.
  • Track adoption of the unified model across downstream products, identify migration risks, and drive resolution of data quality and parity gaps.
