About The Position

The Data/Process Analyst Specialist will support technical and functional elements of multiple administrative software applications for the assigned area. This may include daily business operational activities as well as departmental technical activities. This position will support efforts to capture, organize, and analyze constituent data to achieve department and University objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analyzing current data and system structure; supporting and executing necessary data cleansing and enhancements; implementing efficiency processes; and preserving the accuracy of existing data and the integrity of all constituent records. This position reports directly to the Director of Advancement Services and works closely with the entire University Advancement/Advancement Services staff to understand system user needs. Ongoing responsibilities include addressing the need to remove historical/unwarranted data and/or appropriately archive it before implementing the CRM system. Also working closely with the Prospect Management Analyst, Account Specialist, and Advancement Services Application Specialist. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F1 EAD’s, OPT, H1B, etc. Offers are determined based on a review of the candidate's qualifications, including education, training, experience, and internal pay equity considerations. Placement within the range will generally be based on the following factors: Entry-Range: Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and core requirements of the position. Mid-Range: Candidates with three or more years of directly related professional experience and demonstrate proficiency in the key responsibilities of the role. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's overall qualifications, experience, and alignment with the University's compensation philosophy in consultation with Human Resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Database Management, or 3+ years of related work experience.
  • Analyzing system data and reporting information.
  • Experience in higher education.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in data entry, data analysis, and reporting preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office Programs
  • Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT experience preferred.
  • Analyze business process improvements.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing systems.
  • Input, output, retrieve, and merge information from various software programs and systems.
  • Plan, organize, and make sound judgments and decisions.
  • Attention to detail, follow-up, and excellent organizational skills independently as well as in a team.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, IT personnel, and management, both written and verbal communication skills; including demonstrated skill in reading and interpreting documents.
  • Display a high degree of judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and serve as functional backup for application support and account specialist staff.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate current systems and user needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service, be responsive to inquiries, and work to identify and resolve problems.
  • Lead projects including planning and communications with stakeholders and assign tasks to IT staff if needed.
  • Work closely with constituents, technical resources, and donor support to troubleshoot end-user processes and reports and collaboratively set project priorities.
  • Promote teamwork and information sharing within the team, department, and the University.
  • Create, maintain, and provide documented processes/procedures, projects, and tasks on Advancement Services duties.
  • Work with donor investment companies to complete any paperwork required to receive donations.
  • Analyze business process improvements through automation within the departmental application.
  • Establish and maintain positive interactions with donors, staff, and students.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of designated information and maintain organizational data in the donor database with consistency and attention to detail.
  • Assure system integrity and data security.
  • Troubleshoot problems that arise.
  • Pull budget reports from CRM to provide to the Director of Advancement Services for Board Reports.
  • Support the Director of Advancement Services with duties as assigned.
  • Work with Advisory + of CRM on system issues when needed.
  • Support all cleanup, enhancement, and accuracy of existing data sources and ensure current constituent data is fresh, current, accurate, and as enhanced as possible to ensure the most effective use of all information available.
  • Manage projects related to application implementations and integrations.
  • Support data extraction and integration into various systems to enhance operations and decrease errors.
  • Assist with donor impact letters, endowment reports, acknowledgment letters, and other donor literature when needed.
  • Serve on various University and community committees as assigned.
  • Create and utilize financial reports to balance CRM to Accounting Banner system for Scholarships awarded through Financial Aid for accuracy.
  • Process and execute donor Impact Report, which requires working with multiple systems and Financial Aid Leadership staff to satisfy the needs of each donor.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Assist with special projects and reports, including responding, as appropriate, to institutional audit requests.
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with university policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of information pursuant to university policies and/or state or federal laws.
