About The Position

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience within Tradeweb's Data Platform team. Interns will collaborate with technologists and business experts, working on project-based assignments that contribute to the firm's products and services. The program combines traditional classroom settings with real-world application, providing guidance from experienced professionals and opportunities to build a professional network. Interns will be encouraged to explore the application of AI and emerging technologies within their area of business, fostering innovation and challenging existing processes.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash/Shell scripting, SQL, and Git.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments and using command-line tools.
• Understanding of database technologies, architectures, and their appropriate use cases.
• Strong understanding of fundamental systems concepts, with the ability to evaluate and clearly explain technical trade-offs.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
• Strong passion for technology and continuous learning.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ingest data for all business lines in Tradeweb.
• Make data available to users.
• Manage data access and tools.
• Run critical data production services.
• Work closely with Data Science and other internal teams.
• Develop new data products and tools.
• Explore how AI and emerging technologies can be applied within the business area.
• Contribute ideas that can help shape how the company works in the future.
