About The Position

Our client is a financial institution providing the United States with a safe, flexible, and stable monetary system. They are seeking an EDP Data Platform Analyst. In this role you will bridge business and technical teams by translating mission needs into platform requirements, documentation, and product planning inputs, while supporting process analysis, stakeholder coordination, user onboarding, and knowledge management through well-organized, accessible documentation and decision records. This role is onsite in Washington, DC. Per our client contract, candidates must be US Citizens and Green Card Holders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting business analysis, product analysis, process analysis, product operations, program support, or technology delivery functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, document, and synthesize business and user needs, including pain points, assumptions, constraints, and desired outcomes.
  • Experience documenting current-state and future-state processes, including workflows, handoffs, decision points, and operational procedures.
  • Ability to translate stakeholder input into clearly defined requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and product planning artifacts.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise documentation for both business and technical audiences.
  • Experience developing and maintaining requirements documentation, process guides, SOPs, meeting summaries, decision logs, issue trackers, and stakeholder-facing materials.
  • Ability to identify process inefficiencies, including gaps, bottlenecks, unclear ownership, handoff challenges, and opportunities for standardization.
  • Experience facilitating or supporting discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements gathering efforts.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including tracking decisions, dependencies, risks, issues, action items, and open questions.
  • Comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across product, engineering, security, data governance, infrastructure, analytics, and business teams.
  • Proficiency with collaboration, work management, and documentation tools such as Jira, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio, wiki platforms, or similar tools.
  • Ability to distill complex discussions into concise summaries, actionable requirements, decision records, and clear next steps.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, process analysis, product analysis, product operations, program analysis, or technology delivery support roles.
  • Experience building, organizing, maintaining, and enhancing knowledge management assets, including knowledge bases, documentation libraries, FAQs, process guides, decision logs, onboarding materials, and reusable templates.
  • Ability to structure information in intuitive ways that enable platform teams and stakeholders to easily locate, understand, and reuse relevant content.
  • Experience supporting documentation lifecycle management, including content review, updates, consolidation, and archival processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing and documenting business and mission use cases for the Enterprise Data Platform.
  • Facilitate or support stakeholder discovery sessions to gather business needs, pain points, desired outcomes, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.
  • Translate stakeholder inputs into well-defined requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and product planning artifacts.
  • Evaluate and document current-state and future-state processes related to data intake, access, governance, platform utilization, analytics workflows, and operational support.
  • Create process maps, workflow diagrams, decision trees, RACI matrices, SOPs, and user-friendly process guides as needed.
  • Identify inefficiencies such as process gaps, bottlenecks, unclear ownership, handoff issues, and opportunities for standardization and improvement.
  • Contribute to defining scalable, repeatable platform processes, including intake, prioritization, data product onboarding, access requests, issue escalation, documentation management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Support the Platform Product Owner with backlog management, intake tracking, prioritization inputs, dependency tracking, and follow-up on action items.
  • Monitor and track platform requests, risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, open questions, and next steps.
  • Develop and maintain product and process documentation, including capability descriptions, requirements, decision logs, meeting summaries, and knowledge articles.
  • Structure documentation to ensure accessibility and ease of use for platform teams and stakeholders.
  • Review and refine existing documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, completeness, and usability.
  • Translate technical inputs from engineering, architecture, security, and governance teams into clear, business-oriented documentation.
  • Support preparation of materials for roadmap planning, sprint activities, stakeholder reviews, demos, governance forums, and leadership briefings.
  • Assist in creating executive-level summaries, briefing materials, product overviews, capability one-pagers, and stakeholder communications.
  • Help ensure alignment across product priorities, business needs, technical delivery, governance requirements, and operational readiness.
  • Capture and track meeting notes, decisions, action items, risks, blockers, and follow-ups from platform-related discussions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including business, product, engineering, security, data governance, cloud infrastructure, analytics, and operations to support delivery.
  • Identify common patterns and needs across use cases to inform reusable platform capabilities.
  • Support the definition and tracking of product metrics, adoption indicators, service health, delivery progress, and operational improvements.
  • Maintain inventories of documentation and identify outdated, missing, redundant, or inconsistent materials.
  • Organize and manage platform knowledge repositories to ensure stakeholders can easily access accurate and current information.
  • Establish and support knowledge management practices, including content organization, naming conventions, documentation inventories, review cycles, and archival processes.
  • Continuously evaluate documentation for clarity, consistency, accuracy, completeness, findability, and usability.
  • Recommend updates, consolidation, or retirement of outdated, duplicative, or inconsistent content.
  • Convert technical inputs into reusable, business-friendly knowledge assets.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge artifacts such as FAQs, playbooks, templates, process guides, decision logs, and reusable documentation.
  • Identify and track knowledge gaps emerging from stakeholder engagement, product planning, delivery execution, and operational support.
  • Leverage recurring needs across use cases to drive reusable processes, capabilities, and knowledge assets.
  • Assist in defining and tracking metrics for documentation quality, knowledge management maturity, content freshness, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support additional knowledge management initiatives aligned with Enterprise Data Platform priorities.
  • Provide ad hoc support across analysis, coordination, documentation, and product operations activities as needed to advance platform objectives.
