About The Position

The Network Engineer III will be responsible for design, implementation, and optimization of complex network infrastructure across the enterprise. This role requires an engineer with hands-on background in a multi-vendor enterprise, with a particular focus on network platforms from Arista, Fortinet and Cisco. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of our network systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred
Relevant additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
3+ years of relevant experience in network engineering
Hands-on experience in the following: Arista switching and routing.
Fortinet firewalls.
Cisco switching and routing.
F5 load balancers.
Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
Network tools (Arista CloudVison, Cisco ISE, FortiManager, Infoblox, SolarWinds, ExtraHop)
Knowledge of ITIL practices and change management processes.
Proven ability to support multiple priorities under pressure and adapt to changing business and technical environments.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

OT/SCADA network experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Participate in the design of highly available, scalable, and secure enterprise-level network solutions spanning corporate enterprise and operational technology environments. This includes LAN/WAN, wireless, data center architecture, network security, OT networking, cloud networking and optical transport.
Configure and maintain a wide range of network devices from multiple vendors, including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers and optical equipment.
Utilize advanced monitoring tools to analyze performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
Ensure network security through firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., NERC CIP).
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Act as the escalation point for Tier 2 issues, participate in new technology evaluations and leading network deployment projects.
Provides 24/7 technical support during rotation.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Utilize data to make business decisions as appropriate for the position, support data stewardship activities and partner with IT on underlying data needs.
