North Carolina Connections Academy is a public virtual charter school serving students across the state. Students learn in a flexible online environment supported by certified educators and comprehensive student services. The Data Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of student data in accordance with North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) requirements and school policies. This role is based in the Durham office. Under the general supervision of the school administration team, the Data Manager performs complex technical and data management functions within the student information system (SIS). This includes maintaining and auditing student records such as enrollment, attendance, schedules, grades, demographics, and immunization data. The Data Manager supports school operations by processing large-scale data requests, including extracting, validating, cleaning, and organizing data to ensure accuracy and usability. Through the use of the telephone, internet, and various curriculum and communication tools, the role requires ongoing collaboration with administrators, teachers, staff, and other school stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, maintain data quality, and support reporting and compliance needs.
