About The Position

Tactica Solutions is searching for a Data Management Specialist to administer Civil Engineer Squadron information systems and support secure, dependable technology operations. This role assists users while managing information systems, technology assets, and cybersecurity requirements for business and industrial control systems.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required
At least 3 years of military facility/infrastructure experience.
At least 5 years of data management experience.
Satisfactory outcome of a background investigation for Tier 1 access is required.

Responsibilities

Acts as a project liaison with Mission Partners, Community leaders, and/or other design agencies.
Administer Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) information systems and monitor network operations to ensure hardware, software, and operational standards are maintained.
Set up, maintain, and deactivate user network and email accounts, permissions, and access as personnel in-process and out-process.
Install and support NexGen IT, Sustainment Management Systems, Builder, Paver, Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS), and government-developed applications on servers, desktops, and laptops.
Identify and troubleshoot computer, network, software, and job-processing issues; coordinate resolutions with the Communications Squadron and other entities; and recommend corrective actions when standard procedures do not apply.
Serve as the Functional Systems Administrator (FSA) and Client Support Administrator (CSA) for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and automated information system support; attend required meetings and complete required training.
Manage the lifecycle of CES computer systems and software, including tracking equipment and planning for future maintenance and replacement costs.
Provide ongoing technical support and work with customers to maintain efficient operations and minimize interruptions to Information Technology (IT) services.
Resolve hardware, software, system, and order-delivery issues, and provide management with analyses for automating work processes.
Review purchase requests and statements of work to justify system enhancements and ensure equipment and applications are compatible with existing infrastructure.
Serve as the commander-appointed Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) Equipment Custodian (EC), manage IT hardware assets in accordance with Communications Squadron Equipment Control Officer (ECO) directives, and conduct annual inventories for commander approval.
Maintain secure Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software license records and conduct annual audits of servers and desktop computers to identify unauthorized software.
Manage the CES information systems security program as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), ensuring compliance with Wing, Air Force (AF), and Department of Defense (DoD) Computer Security (COMPUSEC) standards, directives, and policies.
Administer the Information Assurance Awareness Program (IAAP) and ensure all personnel complete required annual security training.
Scan desktop computers, report security incidents, and ensure antivirus protection and security patches are properly installed.
Implement Time Compliance Network Orders (TCNOs) within required timeframes and follow established vulnerability and incident-reporting procedures.
Coordinate with the base Communications Squadron Information Assurance (IA) office to assess Emissions Security (EMSEC) requirements, apply countermeasures, process waivers, report completion, and request periodic reassessments.
Safeguard and inventory Communications Security (COMSEC) materials, train authorized users, and maintain ISSO, COMSEC, and EMSEC continuity books using prescribed checklists.
Serve as the Information Assurance Manager (IAM) for installation Industrial Control Systems (ICS), ensuring systems are certified and accredited in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force (AF) information-assurance directives.
Approve, manage, and annually validate ICS access privileges; reassess access requirements every three years and whenever mission, system, or operating requirements significantly change.
Grant access based on personnel training, qualifications, and functional duties, and control the activation and deactivation of Civil Engineer (CE) ICS accounts.
Ensure personnel responsible for configuration decisions and information-assurance controls for Platform IT (PIT) and Platform IT Interconnections (PITI) maintain required DoD certifications.
Use administrative privileges to install software updates and patches and maintain approved Enterprise Information Technology Data Repository (EITDR) entries.
Document and track configurations for all CE-owned, operated, and maintained ICS throughout their lifecycle, including contractor-supported systems, and submit required annual compliance and noncompliance reports to higher headquarters.
