Data Management Lead

About The Position

THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION Primary Duties 1. Documents end to end data flows and system dependencies across Engineering, GIS, Operations, and Snowflake. 2. Validates and tests data across Asset Management, GIS, Work Management, and Snowflake to confirm alignment and consistency. 3. Analyzes critical datasets to identify completeness gaps, rule violations, and referential integrity issues impacting engineering and operational data. 4. Diagnoses root causes of data issues and drives effective remediation in partnership with business and technical teams. 5. Facilitates cross functional working sessions to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and align data with operational processes and field reality. 6. Creates and maintains data documentation and lineage in Enterprise Governance Platforms, covering data capture through enterprise reporting. 7. Delivers and maintains validated, structured, and curated datasets that support enterprise data strategy and downstream decision making. 8. Develops and maintains data quality dashboards that monitor trends, surface critical exceptions, and support prioritization. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Educational/Experience Level: Bachelor's degree data science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of related experience in data analysis, BI development, data integration validation, or data quality roles. Required Skills/Experience: • Strong SQL proficiency and experience with relational databases and cloud data warehouse platforms (Snowflake preferred). • Experience validating ETL/ELT outputs and documenting transformation logic. • Experience supporting curated datasets for BI and analytics. • Strong data profiling and data quality assessment skills. Preferred Skills/Experience: • Experience with Python or R for analysis and automation. • Experience with enterprise data governance tools (Alation, Collibra, etc.). • Knowledge of data modeling approaches. • Hands-on experience with Tableau or similar BI platforms. • Experience in regulated industries such as utilities, energy, financial services, or healthcare. Communication Skills: Requires the ability to translate complex data concepts into clear business requirements. Must be able to communicate, persuade and/or influence audiences on matters of a technical and/or complex nature. Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor team members. Numeric Skills: Requires the ability to apply research methods, algorithms, calculus, and/or advanced statistical and/or accounting methods. Computer Skills: Requires a very high level of computer skills in order to use various programming languages for writing, modifying, and executing programs. Familiar with cloud-based data tools and systems used for managing, securing, and automating data processes. Physical Demands: Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting. Requirements
