About The Position

This position is responsible for assessing current systems and developing process improvements to create more efficient outcomes relative to customer satisfaction, employee optimization and compliance with HUD guidelines, divisional programmatic requirements and CHA policies and goals. This position will assist in the department’s daily use and maintenance of data contained in the property management system (currently YARDI). This role will also participate in the NIMP process utilization, as well as interface directly with HUD systems in accordance with regulations. Critical analysis, problem solving, and the ability to develop solutions independently are essential components for this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Public Policy or Public Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible related work experience.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Working knowledge of CHA policies and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of analytical techniques, including the application of different evaluation strategies and design of data collection instruments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the various components of the property management system to generate queries and reports to support oversight of property management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of reports necessary to manage veracity and integrity of data maintained in the property management system (YARDI.)
  • Actively participate in the establishment and adherence of standards and best practices for the maintenance of information in the property management system (YARDI.)
  • Review and maintain periodic validation of information maintained in both the CHA property management system and HUD’s PIC system.
  • Assist with managing solutions and best practices to maintain valid data in PIC and YARDI.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of databases.
  • Investigate and respond to various communications as they relate to project initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a web-based database for budgets, interim reporting and asset other information.
  • Outline project requirements, set priorities, timeframes, agendas and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Attend various meetings to address project status.
  • Facilitate communication and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal CHA departments and outside stakeholders and counterparts.
  • Assist with developing accurate and comprehensive reports/summaries as required to document project activities; including, but limited to, develop trend analysis, quarterly and annual Private Property Managers (“PPM”) reports pertaining to Public Housing Assessment System (“PHAS”) and develop and support monthly PPM performance reviews.
  • Others duties and projects as assigned.
