Data Integration Engineer
About The Position
Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer/DevOps Engineer to outline, develop, and implement data engineering solutions. The team supports web-based applications that automate data management for intelligence community (IC) data custodians, including the compliant movement, reuse, and integration of data with downstream tools. The engineer will work with multiple concurrent IC-provided data sets to identify, map, and model data transformation routines for ingestion into the customer's corporate repositories. The role also involves documenting new and existing data flows that support data-routing implementations. A working knowledge of NIFI, Linux, data ontologies and schemas, structured data formats, and databases is relevant to the work.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.
- Seventeen years of experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five additional years of systems engineering experience in lieu of the degree.
- Working knowledge of NIFI.
- Comfort working in a Linux environment.
- Experience interacting with data ontologies and schemas.
- Familiarity with structured data types such as XML, CSV, and JSON.
- Database experience with MySQL and/or NoSQL.
- Analytic query experience with a platform.
