About The Position

The Data Integration Engineer is a member of DTCC’s IT FinSight Delivery team and specializes in planning, detailing technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing software systems and applications. The role works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end users to improve existing systems and recommend solutions to complex business problems.

The position focuses on end-to-end engineering and development work, data integration and transformation, enterprise-scale data platforms, and technical and operational support. It also contributes to data architecture, data quality, risk and audit objectives, Agile delivery, platform training, and timely incident, problem, and change resolution. The role follows DTCC’s ITIL processes.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of related experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in data management, with expertise in analytical data warehousing and enterprise-scale data platforms, including leading complex data initiatives end to end.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse, including advanced features and performance optimization for large, concurrent analytics workloads.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture and hands-on experience designing and supporting scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data solutions using core AWS services.
• Ability to develop complex SQL and PL/SQL procedures for data integration and transformation frameworks.
• Experience using Snowflake Snowpark, Streams, Tasks, and Snowpipe to build real-time and batch data integration solutions in an AWS ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of logical and physical data models for analytics, reporting, and business intelligence.
• Experience developing dimensional models, including slowly changing dimensions and different fact table designs.
• Experience supporting unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Expertise in SQL performance tuning, proactive monitoring, root cause analysis, and resolving complex data pipeline and platform issues.
• Ability to contribute as a developer in Agile delivery teams, including sprint planning, story design, estimation, and documentation using Jira.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Work on engineering and development-focused projects from start to finish.
• Provide technical and operational support to customers and other technical areas within the company.
• Review and supervise system design and architecture.
• Engage stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions.
• Perform risk management activities, including vulnerability reconciliation, security baselines, and other risk- and audit-related objectives.
• Refine and prioritize the team backlog in partnership with product management.
• Support employee engagement, growth, and appraisals.
• Participate in user training to increase awareness of the platform.
• Ensure incident, problem, and change tickets are addressed promptly, escalating technical and managerial issues as needed.
• Ensure data quality and consistency from source systems and work with data product managers to facilitate consistent issue resolution.
• Follow DTCC ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem resolution.
• Lead and contribute to data initiatives, including data architecture decisions, dimensional modeling, and data integration and transformation development.
• Support unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Conduct SQL performance tuning, proactive monitoring, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex data pipeline and platform issues.
• Contribute to Agile sprint planning, story design, estimation, and documentation using Jira.
