About The Position

Data Ideology is seeking a hands-on Data Governance Analyst to work at the intersection of data governance, analytics, technology, and business. This is a practical, operational role rather than a policy-only position. The analyst will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand data, document and improve governance, investigate issues, and turn governance objectives into usable solutions. The role involves stakeholder conversations, data definitions, data quality, metadata, SQL-based analysis, reporting, and governance processes. The successful candidate will help make organizational data trusted, understandable, consistent, accessible to appropriate users, measurable, and practically governed. They will take ambiguous data problems, work with stakeholders to understand them, examine underlying data when needed, and drive issues toward resolution. The position is remote from home. Work is generally Monday through Friday, with specific business hours depending on client needs. The role has no supervisory responsibilities.
