About The Position

As a Data Governance Analyst, you will support the implementation and maturity of an Enterprise Data Governance Program by establishing data governance processes, metadata standards, data quality practices, and stewardship frameworks. This role partners with business and technical stakeholders to ensure trusted, governed, and high-quality enterprise data across modern cloud-based data platforms.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Business Analysis, or related disciplines.
Proven experience implementing and supporting enterprise Data Governance programs.
Strong experience facilitating governance workshops and stakeholder collaboration across business and technical teams.
Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, profiling, validation, and reconciliation activities.
Experience creating and maintaining data dictionaries, business glossaries, metadata repositories, and governance artifacts.
Expertise defining business rules, Critical Data Elements (CDEs), data lineage, and data quality standards.
Experience working with cloud data platforms and technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, S3, Glue, Lake Formation, and Power BI.
Knowledge of data stewardship, data classification, information lifecycle management, and data governance best practices.
Excellent analytical, organizational, written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, Medicaid, government, or other highly regulated environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Support implementation and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Data Governance Program.
Facilitate governance workshops and collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and business stakeholders.
Develop and maintain governance policies, standards, procedures, and supporting documentation.
Capture and manage business metadata, technical metadata, data dictionaries, and business glossaries.
Define and document Critical Data Elements (CDEs), business rules, and stewardship requirements.
Perform data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and data quality assessments.
Document data lineage, end-to-end data flows, and impact analyses for enterprise data assets.
Support governance and compliance activities across cloud-based data platforms and data warehouses.
Produce governance dashboards, metrics, reports, and executive-level presentations.
Communicate governance requirements and recommendations to business, technical, and leadership teams.
