Data Governance Analyst II

We’re seeking a Data Governance Analyst II, this role supports the implementation and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, quality, and security.
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant experience required
- Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Nice To Haves
- experience in data management or data governance preferred
- Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across assigned business areas.
- Monitor data quality measurements to ensure adherence to established data governance requirements.
- Partner with data stewards and stakeholders to identify and help resolve routine data quality issues.
- Review and update data dictionaries, business glossaries, and metadata repositories under the guidance of senior team members.
- Contribute to documenting data definitions, data lineage, and foundational governance artifacts that support consistency and transparency.
- Support the delivery of data governance training, communications, and awareness initiatives.
- Assist in preparing educational materials that help business users understand governance processes, roles, and expectations.
- Conduct data audits by collecting information, performing basic assessments, and documenting findings.
- Draft reports and summaries of data governance activities for review by senior governance team members.
- Represent data governance considerations during discussions with business areas by gathering needs, identifying data challenges, and escalating concerns appropriately.
- Support alignment between business data needs and the organization’s governance practices.
