About The Position

The Remote Data Entry Transcriptionist is responsible for listening to audio recordings and accurately converting them into written text while also entering and organizing data in digital systems. This role combines transcription, data entry, and clerical support, requiring excellent listening skills, typing speed, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in transcription, data entry, or clerical work
  • Typing speed of 40–60+ WPM with high accuracy
  • Strong listening and comprehension skills
  • Proficiency in: Microsoft Word / Google Docs
  • Basic data entry tools and software
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment

Responsibilities

  • Transcribe audio recordings (meetings, interviews, reports) into written documents
  • Enter and format transcribed data into company systems or templates
  • Review transcripts for accuracy, grammar, and completeness
  • Edit and proofread documents before submission
  • Maintain organized digital records of transcripts and files
  • Follow formatting guidelines and transcription standards
  • Meet deadlines for assigned transcription and data entry tasks
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive or private information
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding unclear audio or data
