About The Position

Insight Medical Imaging, a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services with over 650 employees and 20 locations, is seeking a Transcriptionist to join their dynamic and expanding team. This is a full-time, remote position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Applicants must reside in Alberta to be considered. Requirements

Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Exceptional grammar, syntax, editing and punctuation skills.
Attention to detail, concern for accuracy and critical thinking.
Superior listening skills, focus and concentration.
General knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures, billing codes, and desktop applications (e.g. Word, Windows).
Keyboarding proficiency, ability to type 75+ words per minute.
Ability to complete large volumes of work under deadlines.
Commitment to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards.
Grade 12 diploma required.
Must reside in Alberta.
Successful completion of a recognized program in Medical Transcription required.
1 to 2 years' recent transcription experience required.
Reliable, hard-wired at-home internet connection.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of diagnostic imaging processes preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide overall medical transcription support to the department, accurately transcribing medical dictations.
Organize and prioritize assigned work and schedule time to accommodate work demands.
Communicate with radiologists and departments.
Provide peer support.
Communicate in a positive and cooperative manner.
Handle difficult situations in a sensitive and proactive manner.
