Lexitas is seeking a highly detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support our process service operations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate entry, tracking, and management of legal service data and court documents. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a goal-oriented environment, enjoys working with data and legal documentation, and understands that precision and follow-through are essential. While some tasks may be repetitive, the information you handle directly supports attorneys, clients, and court operations nationwide. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and high typing accuracy (50+ WPM)
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Strong communication skills—written and verbal
  • Familiarity with legal terms
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Adobe Acrobat, Windows; MR8 experience is a bonus
  • Comfortable using standard office equipment (fax, scanner, copier)
  • Prior data entry experience preferably in legal or records-related environments
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work independently while being a supportive team member
  • Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to high-quality work
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers whose first language is English.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter legal order data and identify duplicates or missing information
  • Interpret legal terminology and transcribe orders correctly
  • Ensure orders are complete and compliant with billing protocols
  • Manage and update billing rates tied to specific clients
  • Track and respond to requests using Microsoft Outlook
  • Process legal paperwork for service via fax, mail, courier, or hand-delivery
  • Calculate due and order dates with precision
  • Provide administrative support to managers, billing, and expeditor teams
  • Prepare mailings required in legal proceedings
  • Stay on task to complete orders
