Position Summary Coordinates data entry support activities to assist in ensuring organizational reporting objectives are met. Conducts data entry and data verification tasks to facilitate administrative operations and information management/retrieval processes. Follows established procedures while working under general supervision to complete routine support tasks for the Data Entry function. Develops effective relationships with all team members to promote a collaborative work culture, ensure the timely resolution of issues, and prevent delays in service.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • 2 years experience working with Microsoft Excel and its core functions.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year prior relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Enters alpha and numeric data using key-to-disk standalone equipment, PCs, and other data entry terminals.
  • Prepares data entry work to be processed by gathering, sorting, organizing, and releasing documents.
  • Maintains and demonstrates a functional knowledge of data entry devices, applications, job formats, and system commands.
  • Adheres to strict privacy guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and data protection laws to ensure that sensitive information is appropriately maintained and protected.
  • Maintains electronic data files to ensure that all member information is up-to-date and easily accessible to authorized healthcare professionals.
  • Ensures data accuracy by cross-referencing data with physical documents and/or communicating with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies or missing information.
  • Assists with general administrative tasks such as filing documents, organizing records, and responding to inquiries related to assigned collections of data.
