About The Position

This position is for a Data Entry Clerk IV within the Grand Jury division. The role involves managing and entering case information, generating legal documents, and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive data. The clerk will interact with various internal and external personnel and perform administrative tasks to support the Grand Jury's operations.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload daily.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Clerks and CRIMES computer experience.
  • Knowledge of AOIC criminal codes.
  • Typing speed of 50+wpm.

Responsibilities

  • Type and generate information and indictment documents.
  • Enter and update case information in CRIMES Management System.
  • Utilize Law Enforcement Agency Databases.
  • Proofread and sort documents.
  • Date stamp documents.
  • File all necessary paperwork.
  • Facilitate telephone calls, transfer to appropriate individual, and take messages.
  • Copy, fax, and email documents.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information and systems.
  • Interact with State’s Attorney’s Office employees and personnel of outside agencies.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
