About The Position

Woodforest National Bank is a nationally recognized, award-winning, privately owned bank with an Employee Stock Ownership Plan as its largest shareholder. The Data Engineer's primary responsibility involves building and maintaining automated pipelines in Azure Devops, managing source control and branching strategies in ADO GIT, and developing and maintaining Azure Data Factory Pipelines and ELT processes in the SQL catalog. Secondary responsibilities include developing, supporting, and enhancing database programs, and creating data marts, shared data sets, and reports using the SQL platform. This is a senior position, handling complex projects and serving as a resource for junior team members.

Flexibility to provide after hours and weekend support on occasion to support business needs.
Strong data analysis and mapping skills with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft database and reporting technologies and tools including Office, SharePoint, SQL Server Integration and Reporting Services and Management Studio, Visual Studio, and Team Foundation Server.
6+ years’ experience in a SQL development role; or a combination of directly related education and experience required.
1+ Years experience in Azure Data Factory Development
1+ Years experience in Azure Devops Pipeline Management
1+ Years experience in GIT
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Serves as a senior resource to junior team members, assisting with questions, obstacles, and issue resolution.
Creating and maintaining Pipelines in Azure Data Factory.
Creating and maintaining effective CI/CD methodologies.
Creation of data mart databases used for business reporting and operational processes.
Creation of shared dataset used by the business and other team members for self-service reporting.
