About The Position

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will contribute to a variety of areas including: The development of our overall data platform Supporting internal and external customers with data related technical work, to include planning, documentation, and coding Interacting directly with customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical area (relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • 7 years of data engineering experience
  • Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake Data Cloud Platform, including complex queries and performance optimization within the Snowflake environment
  • Experience with Data Loading, Data Transformation, Data Extraction, Sharing and Replication
  • Experience with Security features, including access control, data masking and encryption
  • Experience with Data modeling across disparate data sources with a variety of formats and structures
  • Experience with Ontology development at a warehouse level
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc) for data processing and ETL scripting
  • Passionate, smart, and articulate technologist
  • Able to work independently based on high level instructions
  • Possess a strong personal work ethic
  • Desire to collaborate with a distributed team
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. National Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with formal SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) procedures
  • Experience with version control software and methodology, preferably Github
