If you are interested in being a part of this, consider applying for the following opportunity: Rogers is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data & AI team, supporting enterprise-scale data platforms and automation-driven data product development. This role focuses on building, automating, and operating modern data pipelines and analytics platforms using cloud-native services and AI-enabled tooling. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reusable data solutions aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in data engineering with a focus on automation and cloud-native platforms.
  • Proven experience with Azure Data Factory / Databricks / Snowflake in production environments is an asset.
  • Experience working within Azure cloud environments.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL databases, data modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Python (or similar) for data processing, automation, and orchestration.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and enterprise-scale data architecture principles.
  • Experience managing GitHub repositories and applying branching strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Familiarity with AI, Generative AI, LLMs, and how they integrate into modern data platforms is an asset.
  • Telecom or large-scale enterprise experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform GitHub pull request reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and reliability within the data framework CI/CD pipeline
  • Develop automated GitHub checks to strengthen and streamline CI/CD pipelines and enforce standards
  • Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code and data automation frameworks using GitHub repositories and CI/CD workflows.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, platform engineers, and analysts to design end-to-end data solutions.
  • Support cloud-native data architecture patterns, including batch, streaming, and event-driven processing.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and operational standards, including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency through automation and platform optimization.
  • Research emerging data, AI, and automation technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
