About The Position

SageCor Solutions is hiring a Data Engineer to support its enterprise data systems and platforms. The role focuses on troubleshooting complex data engineering and software development problems and ensuring the reliability, performance, scalability, and security of critical production systems. The engineer will work with a collaborative Kanban data team to manage Tier 3 requests and help build and maintain cloud software and infrastructure. The position also implements continuous integration and deployment across development, testing, and production environments. An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• At least 5 years of experience in operations support, systems administration, data operations, or technical support.
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues across applications, infrastructure, or data environments.
• Experience designing, developing, and tuning complex data ingestion, routing, and transformation workflows using data flow management tools.
• Knowledge of data platforms, databases, ETL or data flow processes, and system monitoring tools.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize operational issues, and respond effectively in high-tempo environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or engineering field.
• Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification within 6 months of hire date.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in secure, regulated, or classified environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, or related orchestration tools.
• Experience designing and implementing real-time data and streaming architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Experience extending Apache NiFi by writing custom processors, controller services, and utilities using Java.
• Knowledge of AWS services, including RDS and S3.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
