About The Position

Prime Video is a leading entertainment platform offering a wide range of premium content across various devices. The Partner and Content Foundations (PCF) organization within Prime Video focuses on delivering tools for partners to launch, grow, and scale their businesses. PCF Data specifically addresses the data and analytics needs of the PCF organization by developing scalable data infrastructure, automated pipelines, and reliable metrics for supply chain analytics, catalog analytics, and content delivery measurement. The team manages core Catalog and Quality datasets, monitoring content availability, delivery timeliness, offer quality, and supply chain efficiency globally. By providing quality data, insights, and self-service analytics, PCF Data supports data-driven decision-making across Product, Tech, and Operations to enhance the Prime Video viewer experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Possessing broad knowledge of different data types and when to use them

Responsibilities

  • Enhance PCF Data's core data infrastructure by implementing AWS services to build data pipelines, improve data accuracy, reduce latency, increase service stability, and ensure compliance with Amazon-wide data regulations.
  • Partner with Senior Data Engineers and SDE teams to design and maintain our Redshift-based data warehouse environment, building scalable architectures and migrating critical pipelines to serverless compute platforms.
  • Contribute to AI enablement efforts by building data foundations that power self-service analytics and AI-driven insight generation for product teams.
  • Design, build, and maintain robust data infrastructure to process large volumes of data from various sources within a large-scale data lake and data warehouse environment.
  • Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to best practices.
  • Leverage AWS data processing services.
  • Understand data security and compliance standards to ensure alignment with company policies and regulations.
  • Use GenAI to improve efficiency and accelerate delivery.
  • Write design documents to propose solutions for challenging data processing and data handling issues.
  • Meet with peers to discuss proposed solutions.
  • Review design documents with product managers, senior management, and Senior SDEs to communicate approach and gather feedback.
  • Build data infrastructure and pipelines using AWS services.
